ROME, Italy – The EU-US Forum hosted an inaugural event on Saturday in Rome, Italy with American influencers, policy leaders, and media personalities who joined with European conservative policy leaders for a discussion about the danger of the far-Left policies emerging from the EU and how they can work together to fight back.

Notable attendees included:

  • Vivek Ramaswamy, Former 2024 presidential candidate
  • Dana Loesch, Host of The Dana Show
  • Matteo Salvini, Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and Lega Party leader
  • André Ventura, Deputy of the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic and Chega Party leader

EU-US Forum Founding Board Member Matt Mowers was also on hand to help host the event. Mowers, Ramaswamy, and several European policy leaders in attendance addressed the crowd during the program.

The event took place as the EU-US Forum launched a $250,000 paid media campaign in Rome taking aim at the far-left policy agenda of the EU. The ads ran on billboards in train stations and across the city, in key Italian newspapers, on social media platforms, and in the sky via airplane in Rome from Friday through Monday.

Several news outlets have reported that the ads have sparked discussion in Italy and across EU member states. Claudio Borghi, an Italian senator who also attended the EU-US Forum event, tweeted in support of the advertisements’ message. The translation of his X post is: “The dismay of travelers should be for the thousands of PRO EU adverts paid for with our money. Not for ONE commercial against.”

Eva Vlaardingerbroek posted on X with Matteo Savini: “Unlike a certain someone in power, @matteosalvinimi didn’t just *promise* a ‘naval blockade’ to stop mass migration, he actually did it – and is now on trial for it. People who are willing to pay the price & put their principles before politics is exactly what we need in Europe.”

André Ventura, leader of the Chega party, fresh off a historic election win for his party in Portugal, spoke to the crowd about the importance of fighting back against EU policies that encourage illegal immigration and restrict individual rights.

Ashley St. Clair, conservative commentator, tweeted from the event: “ Vivek telling the Europeans that “nationalism” shouldn’t be a dirty word 🔥 Time for them to take back their countries from the clutches Brussels!”

Chaya Raichik, founder of LibsofTikTok tweeted about the importance of supporting European freedom fighters like Salvini: “I met @matteosalvinimi at @euusforum. He’s on trial for trying to stop mass migration in Italy. They’re using lawfare against him for trying to protect his country. He faces up to 15 years in prison for stopping a migrant boat. Beyond insane.”

Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project, posted about the event saying: “So happy to be with partners to promote human dignity and prosperity abroad in Rome… Very inspirational people today that bring the fire for fixing this very broken world. Thanks to @EUUSForum for convening!”
