February 6, 2025 – EU-US Forum Tip Sheet

Welcome to the EU-US Forum Weekly Tip Sheet, your go-to product for information about the EU-US Forum and its work, timely updates on the dangerous far-left ideas coming out of the European Union, and detailed analysis on the key players influencing European politics.

We send this out weekly to keep you apprised of the most important political and policy topics in Europe as we continue to work toward our mission of exposing the EU’s radical agenda and the threat it poses to the US and Western Civilization.

1. 📊 NEW POLLING: EUROPEANS UNHAPPY WITH EU

New polling released by the EU-US Forum today shows EU citizens are tired of the failures of their far left leaders and are yearning for conservative policies.

Citizens of the Netherlands, France, Italy, Portugal, and Germany share concerns over the leftist agenda coming from the top. A significant portion of citizens in the Netherlands, France, Italy, and Germany feel that the EU is moving in the wrong direction, highlighting widespread concerns about the EU’s leftist agenda and leadership.

72% want their country’s leaders to impose harder border controls to reduce the flood of illegal migrants.

This shouldn’t be a suprise…following the political chaos that France and Germany have faced in the past year, respondents in these countries believe, by a wide margin, that the rise of the far left is a bad thing: 84% and 61% respectively.

2. 📈 AfD IS SURGING

With just 17 days to go until Germany’s most consequential election, the Alternative für Deutschland Party (AfD) is surging, according to a recent YouGov Germany poll.

The influx in support for AfD follows the deadly Aschaffenburg attack, where two people – one being a small child – were stabbed to death by an Afghan migrant.

For over a year, immigration and asylum policy has been the most important issue,” the YouGov analysis notes. For the first time, immigration is the top issue for voters of nearly every political party in Germany, besides the far-left Green party.

If this polling translates to results at the ballot box on February 23, the AfD would garner 23 percent of the public vote – 13 percent higher than in 2021.

These results jive with other findings that Germans are sick and tired of the status quo from Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Our polling released today shows a staggering 70% of Germans disapprove of the job Scholz is doing.

3. 🔪 MIGRANT STABS 11-YEAR-OLD TO DEATH

The Netherlands is in mourning after an 11-year-old girl was stabbed to death by a 29-year-old Syrian man in the Dutch province of Utrecht on Saturday.

Witnesses say the girl was on her way to a friend’s house when she was stabbed on the street. Another nearby witness says: “The screams of the girl’s mother were terrible.

Breitbart reported: “People in the area of the attack claimed that the man had been reported to police on at least three occasions before the attack on the young girl.

European leaders refuse to keep children safe. They must act now and with great speed to end the migrant crisis plaguing their nations.

🗳️ CZECHIA JOINS EU AGAINST HUNGARY’S ELECTION INTEGRITY LAWS

NEW: Report reveals the Czech Republic is the first country to formally join the EU Commission’s lawsuit against Hungary’s “Defense of Sovereignty” law – a law passed in 2023 to protect Hungarian election integrity.

The EU is considering Hungry’s approach to cracking down on election fraud as “illegal” under EU laws. This misguided effort to push for mass voter fraud in Hungary’s elections should terrify every voting citizen of the EU.

More from the European Conservative:

While the Commission alleges that the law violates the fundamental right to free speech and was meant to intimidate opposition journalists and NGOs from criticizing the government, Budapest maintains that its goal is only to investigate foreign-funded entities that are working to influence the outcome of elections or the will of the voters.
