Welcome to the EU-US Forum Weekly Tip Sheet, your go-to product for information about the EU-US Forum and its work, timely updates on the dangerous far-left ideas coming out of the European Union, and detailed analysis on the key players influencing European politics.
We send this out weekly to keep you apprised of the most important political and policy topics in Europe as we continue to work toward our mission of exposing the EU’s radical agenda and the threat it poses to the US and Western Civilization.

1. ➡️ EUROPE VEERS RIGHT
In a political development that’s rattling Berlin’s establishment, the latest Forsa poll shows Germany’s right-wing AfD neck and neck with the traditional CDU/CSU bloc—both sitting at 25% support. The once-untouchable “centrists” now find themselves sharing the top spot with a party long treated as, not only the longshot, but the outsider.
Even more interesting is the increased rate of voter apathy. Nearly a quarter of voters say they’re undecided or won’t vote, far higher than in the 2021 federal election.
With the Social Democratic Party (SPD) limping behind at 13% and the Greens and Left trailing in the low teens, the country’s political landscape is looking increasingly fractured.
CDU figures like Jens Spahn are losing public trust, while AfD leaders like Alice Weidel hold steady in approval ratings. The message is clear: Germans are losing confidence in their status quo leaders, much like their neighbors in France.
It’s also worth noting: This is not the only major shift for conservatives across Europe. In the UK, Nigel Farage is leading the Reform Party to unprecedented gains in the polls. The UK is seeing a conservative wave of its own, as citizens all over the continent are pushing back against out-of-touch elites—demanding a return to freedom and stability.
EU-US Forum Senior Advisor Matt Mowers, in a recent interview, commented on the Reform Party’s gains:
“You’re seeing the support for Reform coming in large part from communities further outside the metropolitan areas. It reminds us a lot of the type of support that Donald Trump saw in his early days of the campaign here in the US, as well as the types of support you’re seeing for conservative leaders across Europe, and those are the folks who are propelling Reform Party and Nigel Farage into a poll position right now, at least at this early stage in potential parliamentary elections.”
2.🇵🇱 NAWROCKI SWORN INTO OFFICE
Conservative President Karol Nawrocki has been sworn into office this week, marking an important turn in European politics.
Nawrocki shocked the EU after winning the Polish election in June, which led to some uphill battles manufactured by fear-stricken Eurocrats, including his predecessor, Donald Tusk.
Tusk tried to reject the will of the people by allegedly asking officials to delay Nawrocki’s swearing-in.
But conservatives in Europe have prevailed once again. The climate overreach and overwhelming censorship have gone too far, and in Poland, it ends with Nawrocki.

🇺🇸 JIM JORDAN CALLS OUT EU SPEECH POLICIES
Representative Jim Jordan recently led a bipartisan delegation to Europe and shared he has “concerns about what the UK and EU are doing to stifle free expression across the European Continent and the British Isles,” as Breitbart reports.
At the heart of Europe’s free speech issues are the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and Digital Markets Act (DMA)—two sweeping regulations originally framed as efforts to protect consumers and regulate Big Tech. In practice, they’ve become weaponized tools of political censorship that target American companies.
Both the Trump administration and Rep. Jordan have been outspoken in defending free speech from foreign overreach. In May, Secretary of State Marco Rubio took action by restricting visas for foreign nationals involved in suppressing speech abroad.
Now, Rep. Darrell Issa, a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee alongside Jordan, has introduced the No Censors on Our Shores Act. This legislation would bar entry to, and enable the deportation of, foreign nationals, including government officials, who infringe on First Amendment rights through censorship.
America cannot not let unelected European bureaucrats dictate what we can say or think. President Trump and Rep. Jordan have made it clear: European-style censorship has no place in the United States.
