1. 📝 US HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT: EUROPE IN DECLINE
Rights and liberties are vanishing across Europe.
According to an annual report conducted by the U.S. State Department, human rights are eroding in major European countries. The report uncovered “serious restrictions” on free speech, selective police enforcement, and a disturbing rise in antisemitic violence, particularly in EU member states like France and Germany.
In Germany, authorities are making a habit of raiding private homes, confiscating devices, and prosecuting citizens for their online opinions.
France, meanwhile, has leaned on criminal and civil laws to suppress political dissent. Additionally, both countries are found guilty of producing a growing number of “reports of crimes, violence, or threats of violence motivated by antisemitism.”
These reports are not just a warning. They mark a serious breakdown of basic freedoms in Europe. American leaders—including Vice President JD Vance at the Munich Security Conference back in February—have already sounded the alarm: Europe’s elites are trading liberty for control and oppression, and the shift is accelerating.
If this is the future of “European values,” it’s a future built on silence, fear, and declining liberties.
2.🇩🇪 100 TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAYS
Chancellor Merz took office 100 days ago and has had nothing to show for it. He promised to cut taxes, implement stricter border controls, and bring more economic growth, yet none of these things have happened.
When Merz entered office, the first thing he did was introduce a €500 billion spending program that had never been mentioned in the manifesto of his party. Even worse, he bypassed the German parliament to do so. Merz made it clear early on, he had no intention of making a change, only continuing the work of the mediocre leaders before him.
There were early signs that Germany broadly lacked confidence in his ability to lead. He initially failed to earn enough votes in parliament to win office, then, after a second vote, he stumbled his way to victory. Now, he is failing the German people; only 28% of the population is satisfied with Merz’s performance.
With Merz letting the Germans down, it’s no wonder the AfD is surging in the polls. The AfD is currently the most favored party by voters, with 26% support.
Merz has disappointed the German people in record time. Germany leans further into change with every passing election. Citizens had hoped for Merz to succeed, but it is clear he has no desire to.
👁️🗨️ BIG BROTHER IN BRUSSELS
The EU’s new Media Freedom Act claims to “protect” press freedom, but is just a cover to increase government surveillance on the media. The EU is no stranger to stifling speech and imposing regulations on what one can post on the internet, but this has been taken to a new level.
Because of a loophole in Article 4, with the approval of the EU, the government will be able to place spyware on the computers of journalists, activists, and regular civilians. The definitions of “public interest,” “serious offence,” or “urgent” or “proportionate” are subjective. Brussels is going to censor the truth from Europeans and ensure nobody is allowed to form their own opinion.
The elitists in Brussels strengthen their grip on power every opportunity they see. They trick citizens into believing in their altruistic intentions, then turn around and stab them in the back. Free speech is perhaps the most important pillar of democracy, and it’s become clear that it is something the EU has no intention of preserving.
