Welcome to the EU-US Forum Weekly Tip Sheet, your go-to product for information about the EU-US Forum and its work, timely updates on the dangerous far-left ideas coming out of the European Union, and detailed analysis on the key players influencing European politics.
We send this out weekly to keep you apprised of the most important political and policy topics in Europe as we continue to work toward our mission of exposing the EU’s radical agenda and the threat it poses to the US and Western Civilization.
1.🇺🇸 TRUMP SLAMS EU OVERREGULATION AGENDA
At the UN General Assembly, President Donald Trump made headlines, calling the European Union’s climate politics “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”
He spent much of his address torching the EU’s overregulation agenda that is dragging down growth in member states.
President Trump’s America-first energy stance is unapologetic: unleash oil, gas, coal, and nuclear, export strength, and stop kneecapping prosperity to please international scolds.

2.🇮🇹 DRAGHI TRIES TO CLOSE THE GAP
As Europe continues to fall behind the U.S. economically, the EU appears more focused on regulating the U.S. Tech sector than solving its own issues.
In a recent article, Former Italian PM Mario Draghi had a bleak assessment of the situation one year after his report to increase European competitiveness, noting the EU’s economy is on the decline due to inaction.
The EU commissioned Draghi last September to produce a report proposing reforms to help boost Europe’s economy amid widespread stagnation. While the former Italian Premier provided 383 recommendations in his report, only 11% of his ideas have been implemented since.
As the U.S. economy steams ahead with a growth rate eight times that of Europe’s, the EU should reconsider employing Draghi’s reforms to close this gap – a gap the EU won’t be able to close if they stay focused on kneecapping U.S. tech companies instead of solving their own problems.
🍃 REPUBLICAN ATTORNEYS GENERAL SLAM EU CLIMATE POLICIES
22 Republican Attorneys General just put Brussels on notice.
AGs from Florida, West Virginia, and across the country warn that the EU’s latest corporate mandates would hit U.S. companies with “severe” costs and hand power over American business decisions to unelected regulators overseas.
CONTEXT: They’re talking about the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) (CSDDD), which create sweeping rules that force companies to churn out ESG reports, police entire supply chains for vaguely defined “impacts,” and even adopt climate “transition plans,” all under threat of penalties and lawsuits. That’s not trade; it’s ideological leverage.
President Trump and these Attorneys General know American workers shouldn’t be collateral damage for overreaching policies made by out-of-touch European politicians.
