Welcome to the EU-US Forum Weekly Tip Sheet, your go-to product for information about the EU-US Forum and its work, timely updates on the dangerous far-left ideas coming out of the European Union, and detailed analysis on the key players influencing European politics.
We send this out weekly to keep you apprised of the most important political and policy topics in Europe as we continue to work toward our mission of exposing the EU’s radical agenda and the threat it poses to the US and Western Civilization.

1. ✈️ EU TO FINGERPRINT AMERICANS
Starting October 12, most Americans landing in Europe will face fingerprint scans and facial imaging as the EU rolls out its Entry/Exit System. The goal, Brussels says, is to “streamline” borders across 29 countries. In reality, this effort is another way for the European Union to keep their overbearing watchful eye on American citizens. Today’s “European border efficiency” can become tomorrow’s all‑purpose surveillance on Americans.
These new entry laws are just another example of European leaders trying to take control of everyone, not just the people in their own countries. They have repeatedly tried to force Americans and American companies to follow their far overreaching regulations and rules.
2.🌲DEFORESTATION LAWS PAUSED AGAIN
The EU will delay its anti‑deforestation law, meant to ban soy, beef, cocoa, and palm oil linked to forest loss, for a second time. Commissioner Jessica Roswall blamed an unready IT system, but the reality is President Trump has been putting heat on Brussels since the start of his term.
Either way, the message is clear: grandiose mandates have met reality. Europe’s regulators raced ahead of workable verification, risking chaos for farmers, importers, and consumers facing higher prices and thinner shelves. Luckily, the EU has so many rules, they’ve made it difficult for themselves to create more rules.

🇪🇺 EU’S DIGITAL CHOKEHOLD CONTINUES
New political advertising laws are coming to the EU, and they’re already making big changes. Companies have already pulled down previous advertising and advertising spend due to Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising (TTPA) taking effect on October 10, 2025.

The EU has forced several companies to adhere to strict and unfair laws that censor information from people living in the EU. This comes as another strike to online free speech, piling on top of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and Digital Services Act (DSA). American companies keep getting kneecapped by politicians across the pond, hindering their ability to operate freely.
Brussels’ ever-broadening definitions and late guidance are pushing U.S. platforms toward blunt, anti-free speech choices. If the EU’s goal is transparency, erasing archives does the opposite.
